Q400 Type Rating

For our Q300 & ATR 72 Flights we offer the Q400 Type Rating. This rating is achieved upon successful completion of the Theory and Practical tests.

In order to upgrade to either the Boeing or Airbus type ratings you must sit on this rating for at least 1 week and log at least 2 flights

This Type Rating is for the A320ceo, A320neo & A321neo. This rating is achieved after a successful practical test.

​

This type rating is for the A320 & A321, these aircraft are used on the domestic network and medium haul flights - so choose wisely

 

A320 Family Type Rating

This Type Rating is for the B772ER, B773ER & B789. This rating is achieved after a successful practical test.

​

This type rating is for the B772ER, B773ER & B789, these aircraft are used on mostly long haul flights - so choose wisely

 

B777/B787 Type Rating

Our Rank Structure may seem strange, but give it time and you see how effective it is.

After completing 60 logged flights you can apply for Dual Rating on the Boeing & Airbus ratings ONLY

​

All Pilots will retain the Q400 type rating thoughout their virtual career here at Kiwi Air
